Shopify (no code)

Confirm every new Shopify order on WhatsApp by pasting one webhook URL into your Shopify admin. No app install, no code.

Setup

Otpera → API keys → Create key with the orders:write scope. Name it after your store.
API keys → Shopify tab → paste the key → copy the webhook URL. It looks like:

Shopify admin → Settings → Notifications → Webhooks → Create webhook:
- Event: Order creation
- Format: JSON
- URL: the copied URL
- Webhook API version: the latest
Place a real test order with your own phone number. It appears in Otpera → Orders and the WhatsApp confirmation goes out.

TIP

Shopify's Send test notification uses a fake order with no valid phone, so Otpera ignores it (no_valid_phone). Use a real test order instead.

Local numbers use the address country, e.g. 01011075070 in Egypt becomes +201011075070.

Otpera always answers 200 once the key is valid, so Shopify never retries or disables the webhook.
A repeated order is skipped (skipped_duplicate); no second message is sent.
Revoking the API key disconnects the store (401).

Get the customer's answer back with webhooks (order.status_changed), or work from Otpera → Orders.
